Story
Dear all,
This year myself (Nikki) and Lizzie are taking part in the 10K race for life event in Derby on the 17th July 2011.
We aim to raise £1000 in memory of my much loved and missed fiance, and a good friend of Lizzies, Mike Braithwaite. The money raised will go into Mike's tribute fund and contribute to the ultimate goal of raising £15,000 in order for a Mike to have a memorial on the Tree of Hope at Christie Hospital.
The money raised will be used by the doctors on the Young Oncology Unit (as chosen by Mike) to make cancer treatment more bearable for 15 - 24 year olds and may even contribute to novel cancer research.
